Why AAHA Accreditation

The AAHA Standards of Accreditation are widely used as benchmarks to measure excellence in veterinary medicine. Our hospital has been successfully evaluated by an outside consultant on over 800 standards that directly correlate to the care we are providing your pet. The standards are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure they remain consistent with changes in veterinary medicine and technology.

To maintain our accredited status and to make sure we we are keeping up with industry updates, we are evaluated every three years.

To be accredited by AAHA, our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service. AAHA's standards cover every aspect of our hospital to assure your satisfaction with the level of care both you and your pet receives.

Annual exams, immunizations, and dental care are key preventative services we provide to keep your pet healthy. To meet AAHA standards, we keep thorough medical records, from your pet's first visit through their senior years. Access to the right equipment and services means we are able to accurately diagnose and evaluate health problems and begin treatment as soon as possible. As required by AAHA standards, we take and develop x-rays in house. In addition, we maintain a complete on-site pharmacy so that we can provide the medications your pet needs.

When your pet's condition calls for sedation, anesthesia, or surgery, our professional team provides a safe and comfortable environment. We administer anesthesia and perform surgery in a manner that helps protect your pet from the risk of post-surgical infection. Because post-treatment and post-surgical pain may be unavoidable, we evaluate and treat your pet's pain to make your pet as comfortable as possible. Rest assured that out team follows strict guidelines for the proper care and handling of your pet before, during and after surgery, AAHA states that nursing care is a vital element of quality pet care and we agree!
